D and I had been contemplating about whether to buy a new mattress for our room or a new television. Both things that we had been talking about for sometime and thought that it would be our Christmas present to one another. Well, after much deliberation and indecisiveness we decided that maybe doing some 'home improvement' would be our best bet. At least we could see some return on it once we sell the house. Our first project is the flooring in the basement. We decided to tackle the hallway, the laundry room and the stairs. The next go around we will do the pantry and the bathroom. So here are some pictures of our project and I have to say that it has made a HUGE difference in our dungeon of a basement!

You are so lucky to have a hubby who knows how to do this stuff. Mine is a good assistant, but can't do the big stuff. We either hire it out, or I do it.
......but, he knows how to make great pancakes! LOL!! :)

Your home improvements look great!! I was a little scared when I saw the blog title and the first picture was that multi-colored floor...I thought "Oh no! What was she thinking" and then phew! that was the before picture :) Looks great!!! :)
