a 'friendly' reminder

As most of you know, my birthday is fast approaching and it has been the norm in the past for me to concentrate on the things that I haven't accomplished than the things that I have over the past year. This morning when I dropped my little bundle of joy off at the dog sitter, I had a special little gift and note waiting for me from my dear friend. This is what she had to say that brought me back to reality:
'I understand that during the days leading up to your birthday you choose to fill your mind with worry, self doubt, pity, "what if", "if only", and "why me". And yes I do believe that this is a choice you make. I wish that you could instead spend your days giving thanks for everything that God provided for you during this last year of your life...a loving husband, family, friends, health/healing, a job, a roof over your head, food in your stomach, sunshine and fresh air to breathe. You have so much more than you give God credit for. Your future is already written; trust in God's plan for you....'
Enough said!
Thanks friend!
